Relaxation Massage Is a gentle, flowing massage. It works the top layers of muscles and induces deep relaxation. It is very therapeutic for sufferers of stress.
Pregnancy Massage Reduces stress and promotes relaxation, relieves muscle cramps and general aches and pains. It also reduces swelling in the legs.( Massage during pregnancy should be avoided by women with placental dysfunctions, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, toxaemia or threatened miscarriage)
Deep Tissue Massage Focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on contracted areas. It focuses more on specific areas and may cause some soreness during or after the massage, however you should feel better than ever in a day or two. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
Sports/Remedial Massage Is good for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. It encourages the body to heal and repair any injuries sustained. Muscle flexibility and range of movement is improved. It aids in the prevention of sports injuries. It can be quite vigourous and can cause discomfort initially. ( It should be avoided if you have muscle tears, sprained ligaments, varicous veins, phlebitis, thrombosis, cancer, tumours , haemophilia, diabetes or, osteoporosis)

It also provides a sense of nurturing that comes from being gently and respectfully touched. Very frail or modest clients can benefit just as much from a foot, hand or face massage. (elderly clients with cardiovascular disease, arthritis, epilepsy, diabetes or any form of cancer should have a chat with their doctor first.)Massages can be tailored to your needs and requirements and can involve some or any of the above methods.
